Green's General Foods

Penguin has worked consistently with Green's marketing agency, creating exclusive children’s mini-books to be inserted into boxes of cookie, muffin and slice mixes in order to drive sales and introduce new consumers to the Green's brand.

The first “Uncooked” promotion included titles by the great Paul Jennings, and was so successful that we introduced the “Collect All Five!” Aussie Chomps: Mini-Book promotion the following year.  The covers were re-designed to showcase the Green’s logo, and popular Australian authors were asked to write an exclusive introduction for each title.  We further promoted the Green's brand by including Green's recipes in the back of each book with advertising space dedicated to the Aussie Chomps series.

By encouraging children and parents to cook together, both campaigns succeeded in solidifying the family values that are crucial to the Green's brand, and the entire Mini-Book series was highly sought after.
