The Daily Telegraph & Sunday Telegraph
The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph newspapers sought a quality series of children’s full colour reference books for a Back To School promotion. Penguin provided a number of different options, with 15 titles in all finally selected from the DK Eyewonder series. The Eyewonders offer a broad selection of titles – from Space to Birds and Ocean to Volcano. The book covers were re-designed by the DK team to include masthead logos for each newspaper, volume numbers and the Daily Telegraph website address.
Penguin were able to meet The Daily Telegraph’s budget and tight production and delivery deadlines to provide a quality set of 48 page books for their target age range of 5-8 year olds. The promotion appealed to both parents and children, with marketing support appearing in magazines such as New Idea and Woman’s Day, TV advertising and extensive in-paper coverage.
